Day 1 — Old Dubai: Al Fahidi, the souks and Souk Al Seef

Day 2 — Downtown: The Museum of the Future and the Burj Khalifa

Spring and autumn sit either side of that window, hotter but noticeably quieter. Summer is fierce in the open and is best handled by hopping between air-conditioned interiors and late-day walks.
